The Savoy Hotel Prague offers excellent services and amenities in a luxurious setting. If you don't mind being pampered 24 hours a day, then the Savoy makes for one of the best central Prague hotels.
This page offers a quick look at this elegant hotel.
After all the glowing guest reviews, we thought we'd take a look for ourselves. Take a moment to read through some of the highlights and details of the Savoy Hotel Prague.
The first compliment we often hear about the Savoy is regarding its excellent level of service and care that guests experience. Guests seem to be cared for on a higher level by an impeccable staff.
This detail is very welcoming for anyone new to Prague and looking for personal help and answers to their questions. And, it make exploring Prague its beauty, sights and culture very much easier. They can even arrange Prague sightseeing tours, tickets to performances and more - taking the stress off your hands.
If that wasn't enough, the Savoy Hotel Prague was awarded a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice™ Award 2008 in the category of Top 100 Best Luxury Hotels – World.
Here's a closer look at some of the details and amenities the Savoy offers:
The Savoy Hotel Prague is located in Prague's beautiful Hradčany district. This is also known as the castle district since Prague Castle is the main attraction nearby. You can easily walk to the castle and a variety of other sights from the hotel.
The primary concern that you might have regarding the Savoy's location is its distance to Old Town and some other places.
The hotel is on the edge of the city center, but you can feasibly walk down the hill from the castle toward Charles Bridge and across the Old Town.
Also, just across the street you will find the most helpful #22 tram (trolley) that zips across the city. This is one of the most useful trams in the city taking you to the castle, near Charles Bridge and through Mala Strana (Lesser Town).
If you prefer a luxury Prague hotel with more direct access to the sights, we suggest either the Four Seasons Hotel Prague or one of these boutique hotels in Prague.
In the end, the Savoy is not in Old Town, but its location just puts you closer to the castle and other sights.
So we think there's a balance here - you need to see things on both sides of the river and the Savoy just happens to be on the castle side of things.
Our impression of the Savoy Hotel Prague is that it provides some of the best services and personal attention in Prague. To be honest, this note about service is quite important considering Prague's checkered past with customer care.
In the past, central Prague hotels and businesses often bore the moniker of poor and even rude service. Unfortunately, these experiences are still common in Prague, so we are doubly pleased to learn that the Savoy has taken an exception to this point.
We recommend the Savoy to everyone except those that require a prime location in Old Town.
It really offers all you'll need to be indulged and pampered. And, with just a little extra effort, you'll see all the sights just as well. The location actually provides less bustle and fewer crowds of tourists - so we see that as a positive.
There's one last note we'd like to make about the Savoy... for a 5 star hotel in Prague, its rates are considerably lower than other luxury hotels.
Maybe it's because the slight difference in location - we don't know. Regardless, it's worth comparing.
