The Antonin Apartment is a large 2 bedroom apartment very close to Charles Bridge. It's a great space for families, friends or even two persons who want their own private bedrooms. Please click any photo for slideshow.
The apartment's living room is spacious and has sunny windows that overlook the street. There is no elevator in the building, but the height provides a nice perspective of the neighborhood and less noise.
If you prefer something on a lower floor, please consider the Joseph apartment.
The Antonin is located in the center of Prague. It's in the area known as in Malá Strana.
We think this area is the most charming part of Prague. You can walk to all the main attractions from here or use public transportation. The famous Charles Bridge, for example, is just a short walk from the apartment.
The address is Plaska 10, Mala Strana. Google map.
The street outside is quiet and residential. It offers a nice mix of local restaurants and shops, including a great little grocery with all you'll need for your stay.

The photo here of the living room gives you an idea of how big the apartment is. This is the view toward the rear of the apartment, looking toward the hallway.
The second bedroom in the back past the hallway. While the other bedroom is to the right of the living room. So, there is lots of privacy. Of course, the living room can also have extra beds as necessary.
The second photo is of the kitchen facing the courtyard. There is seating for at least 6 persons in the kitchen. The kitchen also has a good selection of items including fridge, oven, stove, microwave and washing machine.
The apartment is on the fourth floor of a refurbished building. The street is residential, quiet and away from the tourist crowds.
We love the fact that Petrin park is just around the corner and that you can enjoy both Kampa and Strelecky Island nearby too.
The area around the Antonin has lots to see and do from hidden sights to very good local restaurants. Here's a list of what you will find in the immediate area:
Cafes: There are
at least 5 cafes near the apartment. Some open earlier
with fresh baked goods and others open a bit later. Many
offer free Wi-Fi and good selection of coffee drinks. And,
some cafes serve beer and wine as well. We like that these
all have "local prices" as opposed to the outrageous
prices you'll find at touristy points like Starbuck's etc.
Restaurants: Another
reason to choose this location is for the plethora of
dining opportunities nearby. There are all kinds of
flavors to choose from in a 5 minute radius of the
apartment - traditional Czech food, Mexican, Thai,
French... Of course, there's a couple pizza places nearby
too. Locals seem to love thin crust pizza and there are no
shortage of options nearby.
Food Stores:
There is a great little grocery store at the corner of
Plaská. This is about 30 seconds walk from the
apartment. They will have most everything you'll need for
a short break in Prague. Otherwise, hop on the #9 tram and
get off at Narodní
třída and find the large Tesco supermarket
underground the department store. They have virtually
everything you might need.
Public Transport:
Another key point to this location is the variety of
helpful trams that stop around the corner. Actually there
are three stops that form a 'T' which will give you access
to just about every corner of the city. The tram stop is
called Ujezd and the following trams stop here: 6, 9 12,
20 and 22. As you might have read, the 22 is particularly
useful because it will take you up the hill to the castle
and it doubles as an excellent unofficial tour tram since
it crosses the city and takes in all sorts of sights and
attractions.
Sights: There are tons of sights within walking distance of the apartment. No, we're not just saying that! Whatever you want to see, the apartments here offer a great base to explore Prague. The key sites of interest like Charles Bridge, Old Town and Prague Castle are all easily reachable on foot from here.
View from the apartment with Petrin park in the back.
The Antonin apartment is on the southern tip of
Malá Strana. It's one of the most overlooked
areas in Prague.
There are fewer tourists here and still you're right in
the center of it all.
Malá Strana is absolutely beautiful, has lots of
quiet spots, gardens, cafes and recommended restaurants.
For more perspective, download our mini guide to Malá Strana. It covers a few things to do as well as good dining options, sights to see and a look at public transportation through this area. The Antonin apartment is a short walk from all things to do on the map.
